Built for Indian factories, shops, and 24x7 teams

Attendance for Factories, Multi-Shift, and Labour Teams.

Morning shift at the welding bay. Night shift at packaging. Contract labour rotating weekly. Three gates, two locations, one dashboard. AttendFirst handles the mess that biometric machines can't.

Free forever for up to 10 workers. ₹299 per worker per year after. No fingerprint sensor. No machine that dies in the monsoon. Runs on the phone every worker already owns.

The Factory-Floor Problem Nobody Solved

Most attendance tools are built for AC offices with clean fingers. Factories look nothing like that. Here are the six ways normal attendance systems break on the shop floor.

1. Fingerprints don't work

Years of manual labour wear off ridges. Wet hands. Grease. Dust. The scanner rejects 2 in 10 workers every morning. Supervisors end up marking attendance on paper.

2. Multiple shifts, one rule

Most software has one office timing. You have three. Night shift "late" is 10:15 PM, not 9:15 AM. You need per-shift rules, not a global clock.

3. Power cuts stop the clock

The machine is off when the shift starts. Workers queue, paper register comes out, you enter it in Excel later. Cloud-first systems keep working as long as the worker's phone has a signal.

4. Multiple gates, no sync

Main gate, back gate, visitor gate. Three machines, three sync problems, one confused admin. One account, unlimited gates, zero sync.

5. Contract labour churn

Labour changes every month. Re-enrolling fingerprints for 40 new workers every time is a job no one wants. Self-join link + PIN solves it in 10 minutes.

6. Proxy punching is routine

One worker punches in for three. Fingerprint machines can be fooled with silicone. Selfie + GPS + QR makes the shortcut visible the moment it happens. The dashboard flags mismatched location or missing selfies in real time.

Shift Management That Matches Reality

Create as many shifts as your factory runs. Assign each worker to their shift. The system evaluates attendance per shift, not per company.

Morning / A Shift

6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Late after 6:15. Half-day if less than 4 hours. Weekly off: Sunday.

Afternoon / B Shift

2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Late after 2:15. Half-day if less than 4 hours. Weekly off: Monday.

Night / C Shift

10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Crosses midnight correctly. Attributed to the correct date. Its own late threshold.

AttendFirst Add Working Hours modal with Name, Start Time, End Time, Late After (minutes), Half Day After (minutes), and default option.
Per-shift config. Late-after grace and half-day threshold are set here, not applied company-wide.

What you can configure per shift

  • Start and end time
  • Late threshold (grace minutes)
  • Half-day threshold (hours worked)
  • Full-day requirement (hours worked)
  • Weekly off days
  • Night-shift date attribution
  • Break tracking allowed or not
  • Assignment per employee

One Factory. Every Gate. One Dashboard.

Each entry point is a separate device. Give it a name, set its geofence on the map, and pick the mode. Biometric machines would need one unit per gate. You need one account.

AttendFirst admin Devices page listing Main Gate as a Static QR and Reception Tablet as a Rotating QR, with an Add Device button.
Add as many gates as you run. Each has its own QR, its own geofence, its own name.

Static QR at the Gate

Print the QR, laminate it, stick it at the main gate or the canteen entrance. Workers scan on arrival with their own phone. Free option, no hardware cost.

Good for: main gate, canteen check-in, permanent entry points.

Rotating QR on Tablet

Mount a spare tablet at a busy gate where workers queue. The QR rotates every few seconds, so a photo shared on WhatsApp is already expired. Prevents the "mark me in from home" workaround.

Good for: main gate under scrutiny, shift changeovers, high-volume entries.

Factory-Relevant Features

Multi-shift scheduling

Unlimited shifts, assigned per employee, with per-shift late rules.

Geofenced check-in

Draw a radius around each gate. Check-ins outside it are flagged unverified.

Selfie audit trail

Every check-in stores a timestamped selfie. Disputes are settled by opening the record.

Contract labour onboarding

Self-join link + PIN. Add 40 new workers in 10 minutes with no admin typing.

Supervisor-only leave approval

Shift supervisors approve leave for their own line only. No bottleneck at HR.

Daily & monthly reports

Present, absent, late, overtime per worker per day. Excel export for payroll.

Manual attendance

Phone out of battery or network dead? Supervisor adds the entry with a reason, logged.

Indian holidays preloaded

15+ gazetted holidays. Add factory-specific holidays like Vishwakarma Puja in one click.

Exit & offboarding

Mark exit date when contract ends. Historical records stay. License count drops.

Factory-Friendly Pricing

No per-gate fees. No per-shift add-ons. No hardware.

50 workers

Factory Attendance FAQs

What is the best attendance software for Indian factories? +

AttendFirst is built for Indian factory realities: multiple shifts, contract workers, worn fingerprints, power cuts, multi-gate sites. Printed QR at each gate, selfie + GPS on every check-in, no hardware. Free up to 10 workers, ₹299/worker/year above that.

How do workers check in during a power cut? +

They scan a printed QR or a tablet QR with their own phone. As long as their mobile network works (and phone networks usually outlast site power), attendance continues. A biometric machine without power just stops.

Can I onboard 40 contract workers at once? +

Yes. Turn on self-join, set a PIN, share the link on the contractor's WhatsApp. Workers fill in name + phone in under a minute each. Approve in bulk from the dashboard. Ten minutes for forty people.

What about workers without smartphones? +

For the small share who don't have a smartphone, use the rotating-QR tablet at the gate as a shared kiosk, workers tap in with a short PIN. Manual attendance by supervisor also works. This covers the 1-in-20 edge case.

Does it integrate with payroll? +

Export attendance as Excel or CSV: present, absent, late, overtime per worker per month. Import into any payroll tool your accountant uses. We focus on attendance; we don't duplicate the payroll system.

Can one account cover three factories? +

Yes. Add each gate across each factory as a separate device with its own geofence. Workers assigned to a site check in there. Admins see every gate, every shift, every location on one dashboard. No separate licenses per factory.

Factory Attendance Without the Hardware.

Five minutes to set up three shifts and three gates. First 10 workers free forever. The fingerprint machine comes off the wall this weekend.
