There is no AttendFirst app on the Play Store or App Store. AttendFirst is a web app that installs straight from the browser, with its own home-screen icon and full-screen view. You get the look and feel of a native app, plus same-day updates instead of a week-long store review.

This page covers installing on Android, iPhone, iPad, and desktop, and what changes after you install.

Tap Install Mobile App to set it up on the phone you’re reading this on. Or copy the link below and send it to your team on WhatsApp - they’ll get a one-page guide that detects their device and shows the right install steps.

One tap from your team's phone and they're in.

Android and desktop users see a working Install button on the install page. iPhone users see the Share then Add to Home Screen flow.

What an installed AttendFirst looks like

AttendFirst mobile home screen showing greeting, the current time, a Selfie toggle, a Check In button, and a bottom navigation bar with Home, Leaves, Calendar, and Admin tabs

Mobile home after installing. Tap Check In, request leave, or open the calendar.

Once installed, the app opens with no browser address bar. The bottom tabs (Home, Leaves, Calendar, and an Admin tab for admins and managers) are always one tap away. This is the screen most employees use every day - check-in, leave request, and calendar all live here.

Install on Android

  1. Open Chrome and go to app.attendfirst.com. Sign in.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right of Chrome.
  3. Tap Install app (or Add to Home Screen on older Chrome versions).
  4. Confirm with Install.

The AttendFirst icon appears in your app drawer and home screen. Open it like any other app.

If you do not see Install app, try the small banner that AttendFirst shows inside the product itself: Add AttendFirst to your home screen for quick access with an Install button. Tap it and confirm. Chrome only shows this once you have used the site a few times.

Install on iPhone or iPad

iOS does not have a one-tap install button. Use the Share sheet instead.

  1. Open Safari and go to app.attendfirst.com. Sign in.
  2. Tap the Share icon at the bottom of Safari (the square with the up-arrow).
  3. Scroll the share options and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm the name as AttendFirst and tap Add in the top-right.

The icon lands on your home screen. Open it from there, not from Safari, so push notifications work and the app shows full-screen.

Chrome and Firefox on iPhone also work, but Add to Home Screen is faster from Safari and is the only path that enables push notifications on iOS.

Install on desktop

AttendFirst also installs as a desktop app on Chrome, Edge, and Brave.

AttendFirst desktop dashboard showing Total Employees, Today's Present, Today's Absent, Late Arrivals stat cards, an attendance trends chart, and a pending leave requests table

Desktop dashboard after install. Same app, runs in its own window with no browser chrome.

  1. Open Chrome, Edge, or Brave and go to app.attendfirst.com. Sign in.
  2. Look for the install icon in the address bar - a small monitor with a down-arrow.
  3. Click it, then click Install.

The app launches in its own window with no browser tabs or address bar. It also shows up in your Mac Dock, Windows Start menu, or Linux app launcher.

What changes after you install

  • Home screen icon. AttendFirst sits next to WhatsApp and Gmail with the orange logo.
  • No browser bar. The app uses the full screen. Looks and behaves like a native app.
  • Push notifications on iPhone. iOS only delivers push to apps added to the home screen. After install, leave approvals and check-in reminders arrive as phone notifications.
  • Faster open. The app shell is cached on first open, so the home screen loads even on a slow network.
  • Same login. You stay signed in after install. No re-entry of email or password unless you sign out.

Nothing else changes. The same URL (app.attendfirst.com) keeps working in any browser, and admins can switch between browser and installed app whenever they want.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an AttendFirst app on the Play Store or App Store?

Not today. AttendFirst is a Progressive Web App: you install it directly from the browser instead of an app store. You get the same icon, the same full-screen experience, and the same features. The trade-off is honest: we ship updates the moment we deploy, with no week-long store review, and your phone does not need to download a fresh app every time.

Does installed AttendFirst look like a real mobile app?

Yes. After installing, the app opens with its own icon and runs full-screen with no browser bar or tabs. The home, leaves, calendar, and admin tabs sit at the bottom like any other phone app.

Will AttendFirst work without internet after installing?

The login screen and home tab open even when offline. New check-ins need a network connection to record the time and selfie. If you are on the move with bad signal, AttendFirst retries when the network comes back.

Do push notifications work after I install AttendFirst on iPhone?

Yes, but only after installing. iOS restricts web push to apps added to the home screen (Safari 16.4 and later). Once installed, leave approvals, check-in reminders, and team updates arrive as normal phone notifications. Android and desktop receive push without needing to install.

How do I uninstall AttendFirst from my phone?

Long-press the AttendFirst icon on your home screen and tap Uninstall (Android) or Remove App (iPhone). Your account and data stay safe on the server. You can re-install any time by visiting app.attendfirst.com and adding it back.

Why a web app instead of a Play Store app?

Updates ship the same day, not a week later after Play Store review. The download is under 1MB instead of 30MB. Employees never need to enable Unknown sources or sideload anything. Your IT or compliance team has nothing to approve.

Can I install AttendFirst on a tablet?

Yes. Tablets running Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPad) follow the same Add to Home Screen step. The app uses the larger screen and shows the desktop-style dashboard for admins. Tablets in the office can also run as kiosks - see kiosk mode.

Steps

  1. Open AttendFirst in your phone browser. Go to app.attendfirst.com in Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone, or Edge on desktop. Sign in with your AttendFirst email and password.
  2. Tap the browser menu. On Android, tap the three-dot menu in Chrome. On iPhone, tap the Share icon in Safari. On desktop, look for the install icon in the address bar.
  3. Choose Install or Add to Home Screen. On Android, tap Install app. On iPhone, scroll the Share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen. On desktop, click Install.
  4. Confirm. Tap Install or Add. The AttendFirst icon appears on your home screen or app drawer right away.
  5. Open from the home screen. Tap the AttendFirst icon. The app opens full-screen, no browser address bar, and remembers your login.
